South Korean feed makers has bought a total of 70,000 tonnes of feed wheat since mid July, traders said on Monday.
The Major Feedmills Group (MFG) bought 50,000 tonnes of optional-origin feed wheat from Bungle at $131.90 per tonne C&F in private talks on July 14, traders said. Arrival is due around late January or February at the port of Intone, they said.
Also the MFG and the Korea Feed Association's regional members in Pusan (Pusan KFA) jointly bought 20,000 tonnes of Chinese feed wheat at $152 per tonne C&F from Wilma in private talks on July 16, traders said. Arrival is due on September 15 at the ports of Ulsan and Kinsman, they said. Korean feed makers continue to seek feed wheat but offers have not been much attractive since the two purchases, some trader said.
