Sama Editorial and Publishing Services (SEPS) has released its third book, This Time of Morning by the well-known Indian author Nayantara Sahgal. The book is available with Liberty Books, Paramount Books, Royal Book Company, and other leading booksellers all over Pakistan.
Nayantara Sahgal, daughter of Vijayalakshmi Pandit and niece of Jawaharlal Nehru, is best known for her eight novels set in the early post-independence years, and her memoir, Prison and Chocolate Cake.
Like her other works, This Time of Morning too, is set in the early post-independence years when a new republic eagerly looks forward to a future full of hope. It is an accurate depiction of the times, and in the words of Rumer Godden, "This is Delhi true as its own dust."
This is a novel where each character, most of them young, struggle to discover themselves and their destiny. There is very little outward drama. But with the spirit of the true novelist, Sahgal has caught the turbulence beneath the calm surface.
SEPS (www.samabooks.com) is a dynamic organisation committed to bringing the work of both new and well-known authors to the reading public. SEPS also offers editorial and research services to scholars, universities, publishers, and corporate clients as well as translation services from both English and Urdu.-PR
