Tehsil Municipal Administration has failed to stop the tongas, and bullock and donkeycarts from entering the city in spite of ban imposed on their movement.
The administration in order to make sure the smooth sailing of vehicular traffic on all roads of the city, had banned the movement of tongas and other animal carts in the city, but so far the ban has not been implemented and tongas are running on all important and busy roads of the city including Murree Road, and are creating heavy traffic problems besides environmental hazards.
People particularly the shopkeepers in Raja Bazar, Committee Chowk, Bagh Sardaran and PirWadhai have raised their voice against the local administration for its failure in stopping the tonga traffic in these areas.
They said that these tongas and other animal carts are creating traffic problems besides creating nuisance for the people.
