Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri has accepted an invitation to visit Japan to resume talks with the Japanese leaders in Tokyo on the bilateral relations.
Visiting Japanese Foreign Minister Yoriko Kawaguchi at the outset of her meeting with Kasuri extended the invitation and officials later said it may take place in November or December this year.
A Japanese spokesman was, however, more definite about the period when he told a briefing on Wednesday evening that Pakistani minister had indicated he may visit Japan in late November.
This will be the first visit of a Pakistani foreign minister to Tokyo since President Pervez Musharraf's state visit to Japan two years ago.
