The Karachi Railway Division authorities have beefed up security measures for safety of trains and passengers as well as sensitive installations.
The beefed up measures have been initiated following blasts near Tando Adam and Nawabshah railway stations early this week.
According to railway sources here, the vigil at important bridges has been intensified through round the clock deployment of watchmen.
Similarly, the inspection of tracks and installations have also been increased by way of intensified patrolling by beat-men on foot as well as on trolleys.
The Railway Inspectorate staff has been put on alert for carrying out inspections, which are carried out by the staff posted for every six km distance.
