Election of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) of Pakistan will be held on October 23, the SCBA Executive Committee has announced the programme in pursuance of the SCBA Rule-13.
According to schedule issued by SCBA Secretary Farooq Zaman Qureshi, only those members will be entitled to vote in the election who are either life members, or the members who will clear their dues by August 26.
However, it further said, members had the option to acquire life membership by August 26 by payment of Rs 5, 000.
According to election programme, last date for acquiring life membership for clearance of dues by ordinary members has been fixed August 26, and provisional list of eligible voters will be published on Sep 01. Objections will be filed on September 6, and final list of eligible voters will be published on September 13.
