The Lahore High Court and its benches will resume their work from August 30, instead of September 01, 2004. The subordinate courts, however, will re-open as per the schedule from September 01.
The Chief Justice Iftikhar Hussain Chaudhry has decided to curtail the holidays to remove the backlog of the cases and to facilitate the litigants. He, therefore, ordered to resume the work from August 30, 2004 and constituted eight division benches and 18 single benches for disposal of the cases pending before the court for the next week.
