Karachi Stock Exchange has extended suspension of trading in the shares of 16 listed companies for further 60 days. According to a notice of KSE, since these companies have not so far removed the cause of suspension of trading in their shares, the management of the Karachi Stock Exchange (Guarantee) Limited, in the interest of trade and public and in exercise of the powers vested under Listing Regulation No.5 (2) read with Section 9(7) of the Securities & Exchange Ordinance, 1969.
It has decided that trading in the shares of these companies shall be kept suspended for a further period of 60 days from August 29, 2004, or till such time as the cause of suspension is removed.
The 16 companies are: First Tawakkal Modaraba; Kohinoor Looms Limited; Tawakkal Garment Industries Ltd; Zahur Textile Mills Limited; Tawakkal Polyester Industries Ltd; Mian Mohammad Sugar Mills Limited; Al-Husainy Industries Limited; Tawakkal Limited; Standard Insurance Company Ltd; Ayaz Textile Mills Limited; Mohib Exports Limited; Data Agro Limited; Muslim Ghee Mills Limited; Ittefaq Textile Mills Limited; Harnai Woollen Mills Limited; and Bela Engineers Limited.
