A police constable was arrested while another constable and his accomplice ran away shooting fire in New Zikiriya Town, Multan.
Three dacoits including two constables Qaiser Abbas posted in Police Station Haram-Gate and Mazhar Ran (Police Lines) entered the residence of a landlord Masud-ul-Hassan after midnight. In the meantime, the landlord awakened and he made noise and ran to police emergency.
Neighbours caught one of them identified as Mazhar Abbas ran, then his accomplices opened fires to get him released. However, police reached there and arrested one of them while other two managed to run away.
Police seized a pistol from his possession. Police failed to arrest the Qaiser Abbas and Imran who are still at large. DPO has suspended the services of both constables on Wednesday.
