The 56th death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the Father of the Nation was observed on Saturday with devotion and reverence.
Quran Khawani for the departed soul was held in all major mosques of the country including in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad for eternal peace to the soul of Quaid-e-Azam.
Throughout the day, people from all walks of life, including government functionaries, political leaders and workers visited the Quaid's mausoleum in Karachi to lay wreaths and offered Fateha.
Various organisations arranged functions to highlight different aspects of the life of Quaid-e-Azam who led the Muslims of the subcontinent in a long struggle to create separate homeland.
