Indian State Haryana Chief Minister, Om Prakash Chautala has said that the relations between India and Pakistan can be improved with the co-operation of people of both countries.
He expressed these views while addressing the public meeting at Jandiala Sher Khan after performing Chaddar-laying ceremony at Syed Waris Shah's shrine on Sunday.
Chautala said that people of both countries are waiting for the day when they can be able to travel freely without visa restriction, adding that these restrictions should be abolished as the people of both countries are enjoying same culture, politics, creed and colour.
The Haryana chief minister lauded the people of Pakistan for extending warm welcome. He also appreciated the policies of Chief Minister Punjab, Pervaiz Elahi for taking revolutionary steps for the welfare of farmers in the province. He said that he wants early solution of outstanding issues so that an atmosphere of confidence between the both countries could be restored.
Chautala also paid rich tributes to Waris Shah. Addressing on the occasion, the visiting Haryana Minister for Agriculture, Jasvinder Singh said that the economy of India and Pakistan depends on agriculture.
Haryana minister for transport, Ashok Arora in his address said that there is no difference in transport system between Haryana and Pakistani Punjab.
District Nazim, Tawakalullah Virk, President World Punjabi Congress, Fakhar Zaman, Tehsil Nazim, Chaudhry Mehmoodul Haq, DPO, Shahid Iqbal, DCO, Tariq Najeeb, MPA, Afzal Sultan Dogar, Indian Ministers Jasvinder Singh, Ashok Arora, Alyas Mohammad and MLA Obe Chautala, son of Om Prakash Chautala, were also present at the occasion.
