The telecom industry in Pakistan is at the cusp of a great transition. The dynamics of the market are going to change significantly post deregulation with the award of new cellular, long distance & international (LDI), Local Loop (LL) and Wireless Local Loop (WLL) licenses.
We at Worldcall are proud to be a part of this change and have done the spade work required to ensure that we are ahead of our league and ready to take on the new challenge. Worldcall has already invested millions of dollars and is now all set to roll out LDI/LL and WLL networks shortly.
While Worldcall has substantial captive traffic to feed these networks, it is in the process of signing up international carriers and providers of wholesale traffic to supplement these revenue streams.
In this regard, Worldcall has recently concluded major strategic partnership agreements with British Telecom (BT), net2phone and other international telecom operators to form a long term alliance.
It is a matter of great pride for Worldcall that these companies, after evaluating various operators, have decided to enter into a relationship with us reposing faith in our quality management and operations.
Under our agreement with BT, they will provide total services solutions for LDI connectivity between Worldcall and BT networks.
BT will also be routing its voice traffic into Pakistan through Worldcall starting with a minimum of 5 million minutes per month.
Under this arrangement, the two operators will be able to leverage each other's networks for providing innovative services to the consumers in Pakistan and abroad. We have installed state of the art NGN (Next Generation Network) in order to compete in the brave new world ahead.
We are proud to have international technology partners like Siemens, Cisco, Scientific Atlanta, Schlumberger, Huawei, Motorola, ZTE, Nuera, Coming, Commscope, ADC, and Digiquant. Our local technology partners include Frontier Cables, Concept, LTE and Symbia; ZRG for call centers.
