Malaysia's export of oil palm products for September 1-15 stood at 675,647 tonnes, up 24 percent from the 544,819 tonnes shipped in August 1-15, cargo surveyor Society Generale de Surveillance (SGS) said on Wednesday.
The figure was also 24 percent higher from SGS's estimate of 544,515 tonnes for September 1-15, 2003. SGS said in a shipment estimate that the 675,647 tonnes for the first 15 days of the current month included 574,404 tonnes of palm oil.
In the palm oil category, 84,270 tonnes was made up of RBD palm oil, 263,458 tonnes of RBD palm olein, 97,723 tonnes of RBD palm stearin and 67,520 tonnes of crude palm oil.
European Union countries, another major destination, accounted for 97,995 tonnes of the export total.
