Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA) has cancelled the licences of two builders for committing violation of building rules and regulations.
According to KBCA, the licence BL-222 of Nishah Builders was suspended on charge of illegal constructions in their project "Seaview World Residency", on Plot No SA-1, Block-12, Clifton Scheme-5.
The licence No BL-1299 of M/s Usman and Company was cancelled on complaints by allottees and for violation of building rules and regulations in their project Madeeha Heights on Plot No FL-3, Sector 5-1, North Karachi.
KBCA has asked the general public not to enter into any deal in the two projects, or else they will be themselves responsible for any loss
Meanwhile a KBCA demolition team removed illegal shutterings from the first floor at Plot No 710/1, Fatima Jinnah Colony and demolished the partition walls and other illegal constructions raised on compulsory open space.
In another operation, the demolition team returns unsuccessful after the people involved in illegal constructions resorted to aerial firing. The team had gone to demolish illegal constructions on Plot No 101, Block-3 in Bihar Muslim Co-operative Society.
Meanwhile Iftekhar Qaimkhani on Saturday assume charge as Controller of Buildings, Katchi Abadis on the directive of City Nazim Naimatullah Khan.
