President General Pervez Musharraf has said, in his meeting with President George Bush scheduled for September 22, he would discuss and review ongoing war on terrorism, the US assistance package, besides bilateral ties and regional and international relations.
The President said in a brief talk with newsmen, before his address to the US Chamber of Commerce, in a local hotel on Monday evening.
President Musharraf further added Pakistan was a close partner of coalition in the fight against terrorism.
To a question he said he had held meetings with the presidents of Gambia, Slovenia and Djibouti, and discussed bilateral relations. With Gambia, he said, Pakistan has growing trade relations.
Those were developing countries with whom Pakistan was consolidating bilateral relations, he added.
President Musharraf was also scheduled to meet Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the margins of the UN General Assembly.
"I will meet Manmohan (Singh) and discuss Pakistan-India relationship," he stated.
First of all, having an understanding and establishing improved relationship was vital, which would lead to the resolution of important issues facing the two countries, he added.
