Pakistan People's Party, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, has threatened to hold protest long march towards Islamabad to press Pakistan government to release Asif Ali Zardari.
"We will march towards Islamabad from the every corner of Azad Kashmir if Asif Ali was not released by Eid-ul-Fitr," AJK PPP chief Muhammad Ishaq Zaffar said while addressing a rally at Bagh, some 80km from here organised to start a protest campaign for the release of Zardari.
Sister of Asif Zardari Dr Azhra Zardari, MNA Murtaza Satti, Shamshad Bacahni, Qammaruzzman, Abdul Majeed, and Khalid Chougathi also addressed the rally.
Zaffar said Pakistan was passing through crucial times of its history and was facing grave crisis and only Benazir Bhutto can bail out the country from prevailing threats.
He said that Kashmiris would not accept any solution of Kashmir dispute without their participation in the negotiations. "We welcome talks between Pakistan and India but genuine leader of Pakistan, Benazir Bhutto, should be taken into confidence before reaching any accord on Kashmir."
He demanded Benazir and Nawaz should be allowed to come back and be taken into confidence over all Kashmir issues.
He urged world powers not to back military dictators in Pakistan and support any democratic forces of the country.
He said that AJK politicians were at loggerheads to grab power. He claimed that AJK rulers do not have any interest for the betterment of poor people of the state.
Qamaruzman said that Pakistan needs leadership of Benazir. He said that Benazir would return Khoumeni.
Murtaza Satti termed Benazir as future of Pakistan and claimed that PPP government is near to the doorstep of Pakistan.
