The International Public Relations Association (IPRA) Pakistan on Sunday announced the criteria for 'Crown and Excellence Awards-2004' for most deserving persons from PR, Advertising, Print and Electronic media through transparent a way.
This was stated by the President of IPRA, Khalid Rashid Shahbaz, after the adoption of the awards policy by its executive body which met here on Sunday.
According to the criteria, all those allied departments related to PR profession would be welcomed to join the competition by nominating two persons having excellent career of 25 years of extraordinary services.
He said that APNS, CPNE, News Agencies, Advertising Associations and Public Relations Associations working for image building activities throughout the country were being approached through communication to nominate deserving persons for IPRA awards.
He said that it applies to all Government and Semi-Government Departments including PID, news agencies, ISPR and provincial departments of Public Relations.
The IPRA President said that nomination must reach before November 1, so as to finalise presentation before the awards committee meeting in the second week of that month.
The announcement for the successful persons will he made public through media immediately, and all lucky person would be informed.
He said that a comprehensive document would be brought out on this occasion depicting the success stories of these awards by giving their deserving status as best among best.
He said that apart from these awards all those countrymen who showed their willingness to participate in the first PR congress organised by IPRA but remained unfinished due to 9/11 incident by providing them awards as a goodwill gesture through their missions in Pakistan.
Khalid said that the award ceremony would be held here on December 15. Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Rashid Ahmed is likely to be the chief guest.
Private sector can also send names of their PR men as one of the candidates for such awards after getting the booklet from IPRA Secretariat (Tel Pt 051- 2G75164, Mobile: 0333-5262005, E-mail: iprap-pkShotmail.com, [email protected]).
