The Karachi Port handled 62,328 tonnes of cargo including 43,791 tonnes import and 18,537 tonnes export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 46,143 tonnes dry and 16,185 tonnes liquid cargo.
Five ships namely Iran Kordestan, Oranje, Tai He, Stolt Tencity and Golden Sun sailed out to sea during the report period.
Five vessels viz Nur Yanbu, APL Chile, Irene, Bunga Terasek and Sinar Bontang are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Nur Yanbu, Irene and Bunga Terasek expected to sail on Wednesday, while three ships namely APL Chile, Bow Merkur and Malakand are expected to sail on Thursday.
Three ships namely Lykes Trader, Clipper and Global Prosperity due to arrive on Wednesday, while nine vessels viz Mountain Lady, Marivic, Shintoku, Panos-G, Ocean-1, Corinthiakos, PONL Mahe, Feng An Shan and BBC Harmony are due to arrive on Thursday.
The cargo comprised of 4,758 tonnes chemicals; 1,966 tonnes edible oil; 11,243 tonnes seeds; 12,282 tonnes coal; 368 tonnes project cargo and 13,668 tonnes containerised cargo.
Four vessels viz CV Maersk Arizona, Rose Anne, Sinar Sabang and NMT Elise sailed out to sea during last 24 hours.
A total of five vessels viz Smarta, Shintoku, Oranje, CAN CGM Nilgai and Prigipos are currently at the outer anchorage.
Three ships namely Shintoku, Oranje and CAN CGM Nilgai due to take berths on Wednesday.
Three vessels viz Saudi Tabuk, MSC Deila and Bunga Melawis due to arrive on Wednesday, while another ship Al Mariyah is due to arrive on Thursday.
