Punjab University (PU) has decided to set up its campuses at Sialkot, Gujranwala and Dubai to provide quality education.
In this regard, a meeting was held here on Thursday with vice-chancellor Arshad Mahmood in the chair. Addressing the meeting, the VC said proposed campuses would be helpful in the promotion of higher education.
He said the University would introduce new programmes and courses. Highly qualified teachers would be hired for the proposed campus in Dubai.
Registrar Masud-ul-Haq apprised the participants of the meeting that at present some foreign universities including Middlesexx University, London School of Economics, American Universities have set up its campuses in Dubai.
Earlier, the vice-chancellor laid foundation stone of new block of Institute of Chemistry building. Institute Director Dr Jamil Anwar briefed him about the extension and said new labs, store and apparatus room and ladies room with a cafeteria would be built at a cost of Rs 11.5 million.
