Executive Engineer (XEN) Depalpur Division, Kutab Nisar has been compulsorily retired while Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) Baseerpur sub-division, Abdul Khaliq and SDO Hujra North sub-division, Waseem Muhammad have been dismissed from their services for charging bogus electricity units from consumers.
A number of complaints were received pertaining to the charging of bogus units in Baseerpur and Hujra North sub divisions within the ambit of Depalpur Division. An inquiry was conducted to find out the facts.
On the basis of inquiry report, disciplinary proceedings were initiated against the accused under the Removal from Service (Special Powers) Ordinance 2000 and in the light of the recommendations made in this regard all the three accused were penalised accordingly.
