The process of admissions for Masters classes at Karachi University for the next academic session would commence from November 2. An announcement to this effect was made by the spokesman of Karachi University on Monday.
He said the admission forms as well as the prospectus would be available from 11 designated branches of the United Bank.
These branches are Nazimabad Chowrangi, Bahadurabad, Malir Township, New Karachi, University Road near Baitul Mukarram, Hyderi, Hamid Square Gulshan Block 3, Drigh Colony Landhi Industrial Area, Binori Town, and Defence Garden Branch. The filled in forms can be deposited in any of the branches until November 11. The final list of the admission granted would be put on display on November 27. It was also decided the admissions for Honours and B. Pharmacy classes will take place from November 18 to 27.
The Academic Council had also decided to do away with the donors seats and all admissions would be granted on the basis of merit.
Meanwhile, a University spokesman said approximately 3,000 admissions are granted by Karachi University to Honours first year and M.A./M.Sc. previous classes in various disciplines.
