Mirza Nazir Baig, provincial chief, Asif Zardari Release Committee, a subsidiary organisation of PPP (parliamentarian) on Tuesday staged a demonstration in favour of John Kerry. It was a single man demo.
He was carrying portrait of John Kerry with "Yes" and George W. Bush with "No".
Thousands of people put more than Rs 1 million at stake. Mostly people were in favour of success of John Kerry, and the rate of John Kerry was higher than George Bush, said a bookie Abdul Rashid.
He said the people of Pakistan in general and gamblers in particular are taking interest in US presidential elections.
