Punjab Governor Lieutenant General (Retd) Khalid Maqbool has issued directives for carrying out complete building repairs and providing all required facilities including computer labs & multi-purpose hall at the M C Model High School Kotwali Road here on Tuesday.
This direction was issued by him during a visit to his Alma-mater along with District Nazim Chaudhry Zahid Nazir and EDO Education Syed Riaz Hussain Shah.
School Headmaster Abdul Hameed Minhas and other staff members welcomed the Governor on his arrival at the school.
The District Nazim informed the Governor about construction and repairs of classrooms, veranda & roof for Rs 5.8 million while renovation and additional works would be carried out in least possible time. He said all efforts would be made to make this school an exemplary like the past.
The Governor visited different sections of school. He mixed up with students, assessed their educational capability and invited proposals from them regarding bringing about improvement in the school.
The Governor also ordered immediate shifting of a taxi stand situated in front of the school on demand by various quarters.
