Malaysia's palm oil output in October is expected to touch 1.37 million tonnes, crop forecaster Ivan Wong said on Friday, revising earlier estimates of 1.375 million for last month. Production in September officially stood at 1.49 million tonnes. Wong's figures, distributed by his PALMIS Management Sdn Bhd company, put October palm oil exports at 1.18 million tonnes, against earlier projections of 1.175 million tonnes.
Exports in September officially stood at 1.29 million tonnes.
Wong put end-October stocks of palm oil at 1.40 million tonnes, down from earlier estimates of 1.41 million but higher than the official 1.33 million tonnes seen at end-September. The full account of Wong's estimates on palm oil supply-demand for October will be published by Reuters on Wednesday.
The government-run Malaysian Palm Oil Board releases official numbers for October output, exports and closing stocks also on Wednesday.
