A hundred member cultural delegation of Punjab will participate in the cultural Mela being held in Indian East Punjab city of Jallundhar on November 19 and 20 under the banner of "Punjan Panian De Warast (the heritage of five rivers).
A senior member of the delegation Chaudhry Arshad Aulak told Business Recorder here on Saturday that the East Punjab government had invited the Punjab government to send a cultural delegation to the Mela, which is being held to highlight the heritage of Punjab.
The delegation includes folks singers, like Naseebo Laal, Nooran Laal, Akram Rahi, intellectual, writers and officials.
He said that the participation of the Pakistan delegation is part of the people-to-people contact between Pakistan and India to improve their relations. Punjabi folk singers and groups settled in Canada and UK will also perform in the Mela,
The Pakistan delegation will leave for Jallundhar on November 19 via Wahgah checkpost.
