Three people died and four were wounded when a bomb exploded in the Indonesian province of Central Sulawesi Saturday, police and hospital staff said. Two of the victims were killed at the scene of the blast, near a market in the town of Poso, while a woman who lost a foot in the explosion died later, they said.
"The information is that two died at the scene," Iwan, a nurse at the general hospital in Poso town, told AFP. A nursing assistant at the emergency ward said the woman who lost her foot died later.
The nurses said two other victims were in a "very critical" condition and two were less seriously hurt.
"It happened in front of the market," an assistant to the local police chief told AFP. He would not comment on casualties but said police chief Abdi Darma was investigating at the hospital.
