Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, chairing a high level meeting here on Thursday, has assured persons effected by Lahore Ring Road project that their interests would be duly compensated. Elahi said that Ring Road Project that entails cost of Rs 18 billion would also benefit people of Sheikupura as well as Kasur district. He averred that while planning the Ring Road project, it has been kept in mind that it links Lahore City with other areas including industrial areas of the city.
He stated that an amount of Rs four billion has been set aside to compensate people effected by the project. The Punjab Govt has also initiated a number of projects for Southern Punjab during its tenure, he added.
