Women are an integral part of our society and keeping in view their importance the present government has given them effective representation in the elected institutions for providing them an opportunity to solve their problems by themselves. Punjab Health Minister Dr Tahir Ali Javaid expressed these views while talking to a delegation of women elected representatives here on Friday, an official said.
Dr Tahir Ali Javaid observed previous regimes totally ignored women due to which their problems were aggravated but the present government keeping in view their needs and problems had provided them effective representation to play their part for solution of their problems along with other people's hardships.
He stressed upon women to concentrate upon solution of collective problems instead of individual ones and formulate proposals regarding welfare of women in education, health and other social sectors so that government could take practical steps in the light of their suggestions.
