Singapore bunker prices were stable on Tuesday on marginally higher 380-cst fuel oil cargo values. Suppliers pegged 380-cst bunker fuel oil levels at $186-$188 a tonne, unchanged from Monday. Prices for the 180-cst grades were also stable at $195-$197. "Demand has picked up compared to the last two days but most of the buyers were looking for prompt cargoes for delivery around November 26-28," a Singapore-based supplier said.
"These are the guys who had been holding out over the last two days when prices surged and can no longer wait to fix their deliveries."
The premium of bunker prices to cargo values was at $5.00 a tonne, down 25 cents from Monday.
A major reported fixing 1,600 tonnes, for delivery November 31, at $188 a tonne.
