The Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) contracted 121,800 bales of cotton till Saturday. A spokesman for the TCP told APP here on Saturday that TCP would continue purchasing cotton until the prices are stabilised.
The government has directed the TCP to continue procurement of Grade-III at the rate of Rs 2,159 per maund and Rs 2,314.
The TCP has made it clear that it would not reduce existing cotton prices.
