Falling trend was seen on the grain market on the week's opening session on Monday following comfortable supplies from upcountry centres, dealers said. Several changes were marked on the cereals side where wheat Mexipak both old and new varieties lost Rs 10 to Rs 1240 and Rs 1250, respectively.
Masoor imported held weekend level at Rs 3400 and Masoor dal imported followed suit to show no change at Rs 3900 and Rs 4000, they observed.
Due to sufficient supply of guwar, low type lost Rs 25 to Rs 1875 and the best type was lower by Rs 50 to Rs 1925 from all stations.
Mixed trend was seen on the seed side as cottonseeds oilcake managed to gain Rs 3 to Rs 274 and Rs 275, dealers said. Cottonseed oilcake with bag low type maintained its weekend level at Rs 407 , the good type fell by Rs 2 on easy supply at Rs 410, they said.
