The State Bank on Tuesday raised Rs 9.2 billion through one-week Open Market Operation. No amount was offered for two weeks. However, the outflow did not affect the money market rates much. The overnight rate was swinging between 1.25 and 1.5 percent showing the presence of liquidity.
Money market experts said that inflow through maturity of OMOs would continue as a constant factor for causing liquidity.
