Eight additional LHC judges take oath

Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC) Justice Iftikhar Hussain Chaudhry in a simple but impressive ceremony administered oath to eight newly appointed additional judges of the LHC.
Those who took oath as additional LHC judges included Justice Sarfraz Javaid, Justice Jehangir Arshad, Justice Nawaz Bhatti, Justice Fazal Miran Chohan, Justice Shabbar Raza Rizvi, Justice Azmat Saeed, Justice Hamid Ali Shah and Justice Umar Atta Bandial.The judges of the high court, law officers, senior high court officials and a number of senior bar members attended the ceremony.
With the oath of eight new judges, the strength of LHC judges has reached 40 as against sanctioned strength of 50 judges.
