Bears tighten grip on ISE

Bears continued to stay in the front seat on the Islamabad Stock Exchange (ISE), where major players and profit-hunters offloaded their positions amid the decrease in index. ISE network index showed a decrease of 19.17 points as the rate-based indicator moved from 11,887.62 to 11,868.45 points, while the overall turnover amounted to 1,665,600 shares as compared to previous volume of 1,712,300 shares.
Total 148 companies participated in buying and selling activity. Majority of stocks (101) landed in minus zone, 45 closed in positive territory, while two companies remained pegged to their overnight levels.
The volume of OGDCL was 864,300 shares as compared to previous turnover of 770,800 shares. The turnover of PTCL was 363,500 shares. The volume of Hubco was 174,000 shares as compared to previous turnover of 111,500 shares.
