Essentials on the wholesale markets showed signs of gradual retreat without protests or interference in falling demand during the week ended on December 3, 2004. The commodities shed on the markets were wheat, masoor imported and guwar. Gur noted higher as the cotton cakes while plastic mouldings, chemicals, tea were mixed.
Plastic mouldings stayed firm in some sessions before showing downward dip on the Jodia Bazar. Following change of price was noted HDPE film Saudia 952 down Rs 1.25 to 40.25, TR144 down Rs 1.25 to Rs 40.25, Mobil down Rs 1.25 to Rs 40.25, HDPE injection Sabic 200056 quoted at Rs 40.75 Mobil 016 down Rs 1.50 to Rs 40.50, HDPE Kuwait down Rs 1.25 to Rs 38.50.
Marlex down Rs 5.50 to Rs 38.50, Iran down Re 1 to Rs 38.50, LDPE 374 down Rs 6 to Rs 48, MG 20 down Rs 4 to Rs 57, MG 20 down Rs 3 to Rs 57, MG 70 down Rs 3 to Rs 57, LLDPE W118 down Rs 1.25 to Rs 41.75, 7087 down Rs 1.25 to Rs 41.75, Sabic 500056 down Rs 13.25 to Rs 41.75, polypropylene film Thai down Rs 1.75 to Rs 41.75, Kuwait down Rs 1.75, to Rs 41.75 India down Rs 1.75 to Rs 41.75, polypropylene tape grade India was quoted at Rs 39.50.

CHEMICALS: From Taiwan N.J. gained Rs 8.60 to Rs 127.60, Germany up Rs 2 to Rs 59, Oxalic acid China up Re 1 to Rs 45, citric acid up Rs 2 to Rs 62, petroleum jelly white Iran down Re 1 to Rs 57, petroleum jelly China down Re 1 to Rs 58, sulphonic acid soft up Rs 4 to Rs 81, PVA Japan up Rs 3 to Rs 168, Sitara Caustic soda flakes up Rs 7 to Rs 31.
Rangolite C China down Rs 11 to Rs 31, India down Rs 7 to Rs 55, hydrosulphite China 88 percent down Rs 4 to Rs 66, hydrosulphite Germany down Re 1 to Rs 69, acetic acid Taiwan up Rs 2.60 to Rs 94, Korea up Re 1 to Rs 91, hydrogen peroxide 35 percent Taiwan down Rs 2 to Rs 42, Korea five percent down Rs 2 to Rs 41 and Thailand down Re 1 to Rs 39.
TEA MIXED KENYAN: PF-1 A grade up Rs 6 to Rs 165, B grade down Re 1 to Rs 141, plus C grade up Rs 2 to Rs 134, Bangladesh Gulab up Re 1 to Rs 99 and Khushbu up Re 1 to Rs 92.
Cereals had some changes in wheat Mexipak both old and new lost Rs 10 to Rs 1240 and Rs 1250. Masoor imported held at Rs 3400, and masoor dal imported quoted at Rs 3900 and Rs 4000.
Guwar low type lost Rs 25 to Rs 1875 and better type lost Rs 50 to Rs 1925, Rapeseeds cakes gained Rs 3 to Rs 274, and Rs 275, cotton cakes quoted at Rs 407 while better type lost Rs 2 to Rs 410.
Masoor imported shed Rs 100 to Rs 3400 and Rs 3500, cotton cakes shed Rs 12 to Rs 395 and Rs 400. Guwar low type quoted at Rs 1850 and better type quoted at Rs 1925, Gur low type up Rs 50 to Rs 1450 and Rs 1800, Urad Burma quoted at Rs 925 and Rs 950.
FRIDAY'S: Sugar prices quoted Rs 40 higher to Rs 1970 and Rs 2000, Gur inferior type picked up Rs 50 to Rs 1500, superior type gained Rs 100 to Rs 1900. On the rise side after a long time Irri registered gain of Rs 20 to Rs 1035 and Rs 1045, Makai gained Rs 25 to Rs 900 and Rs 925.
