imageRight-arm fast-bowler Umar Gul will captain the Islamabad team in the upcoming three week-long National T20 Cup, in which star cricketer Shahid Afridi, who skippered the national side in the ICC World T20 earlier this year in India, will play under the former.

Pakistan's Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq, who is as of now driving his side against England in England, is set to play for Karachi whites, under the captaincy of Akbar-ur-Rehman.

Ignored left-arm fast bowler Junaid Khan will also be included in Islamabad’s line-up.

Saeed Ajmal, who wore Islamabad United's colors in the primary release of Pakistan Super League earlier this year, will play for Karachi Blues.

This domestic T20 tournament is scheduled to be held from August 25 till September 16. The eight-team tournament will be played in Rawalpindi and Multan.

The second period of the draft will take place before the semi-final stage, when the players from Pakistan's One-Day International squad will be accessible.

Lahore and Karachi will field two teams each with one each from Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Fata, and Islamabad.
