The International Islamic University (IIU) has started two months' long training course for officers of ministries of Foreign Affairs, commerce, trade, agricultural, senior lawyers and other stakeholders to teach them laws, rules and regulations of World Trade Organisation (WTO) about Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). Speaking on the occasion, the President of IIU, Dr Mehmood Ahmed Ghazi said that without understanding the laws about Intellectual Property Rights we could not move forward successfully in quota free regime, says a statement issued here on Sunday.
He urged the concerned government departments, lawyers and major stakeholder should come forward and shoulder their responsibilities to safeguard our national interests in WTO regime.
Later, Course Coordinator of course, Dr Bashir Ghuman said that this course was arranged by International Management Development Centre and designed to cater the needs of knowing about IPR of WTO.
