The Telecommunication authorities busted a mini-Gateway exchange operated illegally and bypassing the PTCL's Gateway Exchange. A joint team of Pakistan Telecommunication and the PTCL Authority along with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Monday raided the illegal exchange, set up in Gul Bano Plaza in Garden area, and confiscated equipment's including a Pentium-IV computer, the CPU etc.
The exchange was being run by a lady Rabia Jamil for the last eight months, providing people the facility of international calls, thus causing losses to the national exchequer.
