Cellphones with camera not allowed inside port area

Mobile phones with camera have been prohibited for entry into the Karachi Port area. The Port Security Force has described the act as violation of the security procedure under International Ships and Ports Security (ISPS) code. A circular issued by the Commandant Port Security Force at the Karachi Port said that it had been observed that most of the port users were bringing mobile phones with camera inside the port prohibited area in violation of the instructions issued to the security staff at the port.
It is submitted that mobile phones with camera are not allowed inside the port area.
The copies of the circular have been sent to the Collector of Customs (Appraisement), Collector of Customs (Preventive), Pakistan Ships Agents Association, All Pakistan Ships Agents Association, Karachi Customs Agents Group, Stevedores Conference, Karachi Dock Labour Board and Transport Goods Association.
