Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said Pakistan will continue its efforts to keep the process of composite dialogue with India moving in the positive direction. In an interview with BBC Radio, he regretted that recent statement of Indian External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh wherein he had ruled out any compromise on Kashmir issue.
"I do not understand why this thing is happening. We hope the Indian government will accept realities with the passage of time", said Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, adding the Indians will hopefully leave the way open for themselves, Kashmiris and of course for Pakistan.
"We will not let the situation move towards bitterness", he said, adding it will be unfortunate for both countries, if India wants to go to zero point.
He said one thing is clear that Pakistani nation cannot leave Kashmiris in lurch in any circumstance.
To a question, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said an impression is growing that some extremist and stubborn forces enjoy decision-making power in India, but disappointment is not a good thing, adding the people's hopes are diminishing after Indian stubbornness on Baglihar Dam issue, but "we should continue our efforts for betterment."
