Sindh Police Inspector General Syed Kamal Shah, on Thursday put the police on red alert and ordered it to take foolproof measures for security of life and property of the masses on Eid-ul-Azha and Jumma-tul-Mubarak. In his directives, he asked the police to ensure deployment of personnel and plain dressed police officials in and around the mosques, Imambargahs and Eidgahs, besides keeping the push-carts and fruit selling vendors away from the entry and exit gates of the worship places.
The Sindh Police chief further ordered necessary training of volunteers, appointed by the local committees in different areas of the city, and to inform the police officers or Madadgar 15 on presence of unclaimed and mysterious bags, packets or parcels.
He ordered the police to ensure implementation of code of conduct, issued by the Sindh government on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha.
He said only the registered and permission-holder organisations would entitled to collect hides of sacrificial animals, while setting up of camps, use of loud speakers at vehicles, mosques, seminaries and offices would not be allowed for collecting hides.
