Federal Minister for Water and Power Liaquat Ali Jatoi has convened special meeting on water policy for its finalisation for submission to the Cabinet for approval. The meeting will be held on Tuesday and the Chairman Federal Flood Commission will brief the meeting on the work done so far on the policy. The Federal Minister in its last meeting had directed to complete the draft within the shortest possible time.
The national water policy will be first ever in the country's history and will cover the drainage programme, its monitoring, provincial demands of water and its solution, improvement of canals system and related matters.
