Deputy Speaker National Assembly Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob has urged the Ulema to spread the real message of Islam to help remove misunderstanding against Islam. He was speaking on the launching ceremony of Allama Muhammad Umer Abbasi's book entitled "Maraka-e-Karbela" here on Monday. Addressing the gathering Sardar Yaqoob said that Islam is religion of peace and harmony, which believes in dialogue and promotes culture of reconciliation.
"There is no rigidity in Islam, and resolving of different issues through mutual understanding has been the tradition of Islam" he maintained.
Yaqoob was of the opinion that all national and international problems would be resolved through negotiations.
He said that Muslim should follow the path of enlightened moderation and show real face of Islam to the world. He further said that the present government also believes in settling all internal and external disputes to be resolved through peaceful means.
Addressing on the occasion Dr Ghazanfar Mehdi, Chairman Imam Hussain Council said that terrorism is not only dangerous for our government but it has also a great threat for the sovereignty of our country.
Aga Murtaza Poya, Senior Vice President, Pakistan Awami Tehreek said that it is need of the hour that Muslim must unite.
Writer of the book Muhammad Umer Riaz Abbasi, Allama Syed Sabtain Hussain and Liaqat Ali Abassi also spoke on the occasion.
