Senior Minister of Balochistan government Maulvi Abdul Wasay and Parliamentarian Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani called on President General Pervez Musharraf here on Monday afternoon. During the course of the meeting, they assured the President of Balochistan MMA's support to the provincial and federal government's development projects and other initiatives being taken for the socio-economic development of the province and its people.
He lauded the rescue and relief operations of the Pakistan armed forces during the recent rains and flooding in southern Balochistan.
The President thanked the political leaders for their sentiments and said that the federal government was committed to assist in the development of Balochistan in order to bring it at par with the developed areas of the country. He said that rights of the Baloch people would be protected on all matters including NFC awards, gas royalty and other issues.
The President stated that government would ensure the protection and safety of all vital national installations in the province.
