Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz is taking bold initiatives for promotion of trade and investment, but the law and order situation is coming in the way, hence special attention must be paid to improve it. These views were expressed by the Piaf vice-chairman Mubashir Sheikh while commenting on Prime Minister's meeting with a 16-member LCCI delegation. Mubashir maintained that elements involved in subversive activities were bent upon to damage the country's economy.
He said the provision of necessary infrastructure, according to requirements of modern age, was a prerequisite for investment and industrialisation.
Mubashir Sheikh was of the view that illegal trade was eating up the gains of all positive efforts being made by the present government. He said on the one hand, illegal trade was harming the industry, while on the other it was increasing unemployment.
