Punjab Health Department with the co-operation of WHO and other international donor institutions will launch an effective campaign for the eradication of leprosy from the province, said Punjab Heath Minister Dr Tahir Javed. Addressing a meeting here on Wednesdays he asked department officials to launch an awareness campaign especially in far-flung and remote areas against leprosy.
He said masses needed to be taught about Multi Drug Therapy (MDT) for the treatment of leprosy, being provided free of cost at all health centres.
