FPCCI President Chaudhry Mohammad Saeed has assured Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz of full support of the private business sector to his (PM's) endeavours to boost the economy and exports of the country. According to press release issued here on Monday, Chaudhry Mohammad Saeed and senior members of the FPCCI held a meeting with Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz at the Prime Minister's Secretariat.
The FPCCI President appreciated the Prime Minister's achievements of tremendous improvements in the attitude and functioning of the Central Board of Revenue (CBR) and his efforts to bring down the cost of doing business.
Chaudhry Saeed also apprised the Prime Minister on the FPCCI's building projects at Karachi and Islamabad, the statement added.
He also requested the Prime Minister for earliest implementation of reorganisation of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), projects of industrial cities, parks and industrial waste treatment plants and urgently required improvements in the infrastructure facilities.
The Prime Minister assured the President FPCCI that he would continue to give top priority to promotion and facilitation of the private business sector so that rapid improvement in economic development, poverty reduction and exports can be achieved.
Shaukat Aziz stated that currently the economic environment and facilities available in Pakistan provide the best ever opportunity for putting up new projects and operating existing projects most profitably.
The Prime Minister said the present cost of financing, business supportive policies and general economic environment provide the most favourable opportunities for new and existing businesses.
The Prime Minister dispelled the impression that Pakistan's cost of utilities, petroleum products and government levies on businesses was more than that of India and China.
Shaukat Aziz urged the private business sector of Pakistan and foreign investors to take full advantage of the most favourable environment for investment and business operations in Pakistan.-PR
