Federal minister for water and power Liaquat Ali Jatoi has convened a meeting on Wednesday on Thar coal power project to finalise matters for signing an agreement during the forthcoming visit of the Chinese Prime Minister. The meeting will be attended by Sindh minister for mines and minerals, foreign secretary, Wapda chairman and senior officials of the Sindh government, foreign office, Wapda, PPIB and Nepra.
Sources said matters will be finalised for signing of agreement with China for the project during the forthcoming visit of the Chinese Prime Minister scheduled in April.
Sources added that matters regarding construction of 500kv transmission line has been finalised and Wapda has been asked to construct the line.
