One police constable was killed and another injured while on a routine patrol as they came under fire by unknown assailants in the jurisdiction of Baghdadi police station on the eve of Pakistan Day. According to details, constables Mohammad Jehangir and Anser Mohammad while on routine round saw some mysterious persons on a motorbike. When ordered to halt, the riding assailants started indiscriminate firing leaving Jehangir, who received four bullets, dead at the spot.
Injured Anser was taken to Civil Hospital for treatment. Police have registered the case and started investigation.
