National Accountability Bureau (NAP) Sindh so far distributed Rs 15,406,640 among the affectees of "Forex Scam" while inquiries against seven other illegal brokerage houses, doing illegal forex business are still in progress. The NAB (Sindh), on the request of State Bank and Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) initiated inquiry against 18 illegal brokerage houses, doing illegal forex business and cheating the innocent people at large.
It received 93 claims from general public against seven forex companies. After verifying the records of 53 claimants worth dollars 256,614 (Rs 15,406,640) were settled. The inquiries against four companies were dropped as no claim was received against them.
